Who We Are
Kings & Queens Residential School was founded on June 9, 1997, by Mr. D. King Solomon and Mrs. Mercy King in Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. What began as a humble initiative with just three students and three committed staff members has grown into a thriving residential school community, now serving over 300 students annually.
Born out of a deep burden and divine calling, the school was established to meet a pressing need — to provide accessible, quality education for the children of Christian workers serving in remote and underserved parts of India. The founding team consisted of Mr. D. King Solomon (M.A., M.Ed.), Mrs. Mercy King (M.A., M.Ed.), and Ms. Emy.
Through God’s unfailing grace and the sacrificial support of faithful individuals, the school steadily expanded. Among those who stood by the institution during its formative years were Mr. Devaraj and Mrs. Sheela Devaraj, whose partnership played a vital role in shaping the school’s journey.
Today, Kings & Queens Residential School stands as a beacon of hope and transformation. Our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, Christ-centered values, and leadership development continues to inspire generations of students to grow into confident, compassionate, and capable individuals prepared to serve and lead in their communities and beyond.
Our Founders
Mr. D. King Solomon (M.A., M.Ed.) and Mrs. Mercy King (M.A., M.Ed.) are the visionary founders of Kings & Queens Residential School.
